Bronze Dog Sculpture: Trotting Wire Haired Dachshund by Sue Maclaurin

This one was the most recent sculpture we have had from you. We have live Dax’s for very many years, but all our former ones were either smooth or long haired, until we got a wire haired one some eight years ago, so we were delighted when we heard from you that a Wire Haired was now in your list, and snapped him up quick; I think ours was number 1, which made him even more collectable; we have several smooth ones from you, but this is our first wire. Our dog is called Norman, and is very big, I think some 35 lbs, and a great friendly character, if a bit noisy at times!
Any way we are delighted to have yours in our collection. I think we have had some twenty dax’s over the years, but have accumulated a huge collection of sculptures, pictures and models . One of our grandchildren spent a day counting the collection, and came up with a figure of over 300 portraits.
We are more than pleased with our latest rough, and he occupies a pole position on one of our shelves.
